WHAT KIND OF CHURCH IS THIS?

Weston UMC is a United Methodist Church. You can find information about our beliefs by clicking HERE. Our mission at Weston UMC is to make new disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. As an authentic body of believers, we are open to hearing the need in our community and around the world. We embrace our call to be Christ-centered and mission-focused servants.

We are the headquarters of the Black Ancestors Awareness Campaign of Weston (BAAC), and they proudly partner with us for special events commemorating Juneteenth and Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We are also proud partners of the Friends of San Lucas, who support the Mission of San Lucas in Tolíman, Guatemala through fundraisers, coffee sales, and immersion trips. As part of this partnership we also serve with Side By Side International to build housing and stoves for families in San Lucas and other parts of the world.

WHEN AND WHERE ARE WORSHIP SERVICES?

We worship on Sundays at 10 AM at 533 Main Street, Weston, Missouri 64098 and online via our website or Facebook page.

WHAT IS WORSHIP LIKE?

Our worship service is a blend of traditional and modern worship elements. We embrace contemporary styles of music while also honoring classic hymns and prayers. We offer Holy Communion (also known as the Lord’s Supper or Eucharist) once a month, and everyone is allowed and encouraged to partake.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT WHEN I GET THERE?

Our church building has three levels. When you come in the front door, you will enter the church on the second level, also known as the Main Level. This is where our offices and classrooms for Sunday school and Kids Club are located. On either side of you will be red-carpeted stairs that lead up to the Sanctuary on the third level, where we hold worship services. There is a chair lift available on the left side. The first level is the Fellowship Hall and Kitchen, where we have Backdoor Coffee each Monday. The first level is accessed via the back door or the stairwell off to the right side of the front door entrance.

If you come on a Sunday morning, there will be a parking spot set aside for you as a visitor in the front of the church on Main Street. You'll find that the atmosphere is very casual and friendly. You'll be greeted at the door by our greeters and one of our ushers will give you a bulletin that has information about our church and the Order of Worship for the service. We also have a gift for you to take with you before you leave.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Wear what makes you feel comfortable. Don’t worry about it.

HOW CAN I MEET OTHERS AND GET CONNECTED?

Weston United Methodist Church is all about connecting with God and each other. There are three main ways to get connected: attend a service, join a group, and serve. If you haven’t already, take the first step and simply join us for a service.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

At Weston United Methodist Church, we love kids! From infants to elementary age, we have done our best to help your children have a blast while learning about Jesus.
